CLASS 1: YOUTH SHOWMANSHIP EXHIBITORS
CLASS 2: NOVICE SHOWMANSHIP - YOUTH EXHIBITORS WHO HAVE NOT SHOWN LAMBS PREVIOUSLY AT THE ROCKBRIDGE REGIONAL FAIR
CLASS 3: INDIVIDUAL LAMBS Classes will be determined by weight at time of weigh-in.

RULES:
1. Lambs must be owned by and in the possession of the exhibitor by May 31, 2008. Exhibitors will be limited to two (2) lambs. All lambs must be tagged at Jerry Swisher’s scales on May 31, 2008 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Lambs not tagged will not show.
2. Market lambs must be slick shorn and washed.
3. Ewe or wether lambs may be shown.
4. Wethers must be healed; no short scrotum lambs.
5. Lambs will be shown on a halter.
6. Lambs will NOT be sold.
7. All exhibitors must wear clean jeans or slacks and a shirt with a collar. Shirts must be tucked in. No tank tops or sleeveless
shirts or blouses. No shorts. Exhibitors will not be allowed to show unless in proper attire.
8. See GENERAL RULES FOR 4-H/FFA LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS, for entry deadlines see rule 17.
9. All animals must have an approved health certificate signed within 30 days by an accredited veterinarian or be from a certified
flock with current certification. Any animal showing signs of sore mouth, foot rot and contagious and/or infectious diseases will
be removed from the fair grounds.
10. Exhibitors must be residents of Rockbridge or Botetourt Counties and be between the ages of 5 - 8 as of September 30,
2008.
11. SCRAPIE IDENTIFICATION: All market lambs that are ewe lambs, must have an official USDA Scrapie Identification ear
tag. If you don’t have them prior to weigh in, they will be provided for market lambs only, on weigh-in day.
