CLASS 1: YOUTH SHOWMANSHIP EXHIBITORS

CLASS 2: NOVICE SHOWMANSHIP - YOUTH EXHIBITORS WHO HAVE NOT SHOWN GOATS PREVIOUSLY AT THE ROCKBRIDGE REGIONAL FAIR

CLASS 3: DAIRY BREEDS

CLASS 4: MEAT BREEDS *First and second place goats from each class will compete for Champion and Reserve Champion

RULES:

1. Exhibitors must be residents of Rockbridge or Botetourt Counties and be between the ages of 5 - 8 years as of September

    30, 2008.

2. Goats must be owned and in possession of the exhibitor by May 31, 2008.

3. All goats must be tagged at Jerry Swisher’s scales on May 31, 2008 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Goats not tagged will not show.

4. Each exhibitor may only exhibit two goats in each class.

5. All exhibitors must wear clean jeans or slacks and a shirt with a collar. Shirts must be tucked in. No tank tops or sleeveless

    shirts or blouses. No shorts. Exhibitors will not be allowed to show unless in proper attire.

7. All animals must have an approved health certificate signed within 30 days by an accredited veterinarian or be from a certified

    herd with current certification. Goats exhibiting signs of disease must be removed from the Fair grounds.

8. SCRAPIE IDENTIFICATION: All breeding goats entered to be shown (bucks and does) regardless of age must have in

    place official USDA Scrapie Identification ear tags.

9. Goats will not be sold.
