RECORD BOOK COMPETITION

Exhibitors are required to submit one completed Project Record Book for judging as part of the total education experience. Important: Show premiums will be withheld if no record is turned in by the exhibitor. Exhibitors are required to submit at least one book but are encouraged to submit books for each specie entered in the fair. Books will be judged as Junior (ages 9-11 as of September 30, 2008), Intermediate (ages 12-13 as of September 30, 2008), and Senior (ages 14 and older as of September 30, 2008). Books will be separated by species and judged against the criteria listed below. Exhibitors are reminded that this is a project record book and not a scrap book. Exhibitors are encouraged to limit the number of extra pages added to the record book to two (2). Pictures of the exhibitor and project animal are acceptable. Completed books are to be submitted to the Rockbridge County Extension Office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2008. Late books will not be eligible for awards. If the record book is found to be incomplete, no premium will be awarded. CRITERIA FOR RECORD BOOKS 1. Completeness 2. Accuracy 3.
